I live in Suffolk and work from a converted potting shed. In the early ’80s I studied Foundation Art and Vocational Graphics but then worked in shops and offices for many years before venturing tentatively into freelance illustration in 2001.
Published work now includes four novelty books for very young children (Dorling Kindersley US) and a series of greetings cards (Two Bad Mice).
In January 2008 I gained an MA in Children’s Book Illustration from Anglia Ruskin University. I now hope to incorporate new things I have learned from that – different ways of working and a greater desire to experiment – in my future artistic output.
